What’s the C-series about?

Back in 1986, NME launched an influential cassette compilation called C86. The curated mixtape spotlighted some of the era's most exciting bands — opening with the iconic track by Primal Scream, “Velocity Girl”. Emblematic of the emerging indie scene at the time, C86 was a seminal moment in NME and music history.
